Do you build from scratch or customise existing Shopify themes?

We build custom themes from scratch. We avoid editing stock themes like Dawn directly because it creates a maintenance nightmare when Shopify updates them. We build on the OS 2.0 architecture for future-proof block editing, but every visual element is custom to your brand.

Can you migrate our existing store to Shopify?

Do you work with Shopify Plus?

Shopify vs WooCommerce: which ecommerce platform should I choose?

Shopify is a hosted platform — your store runs on Shopify infrastructure with automatic updates, security patches, and a 99.99% uptime SLA. WooCommerce is self-hosted on WordPress, giving more flexibility but requiring you to manage hosting, security updates, and plugin compatibility yourself. Shopify is better for pure ecommerce businesses wanting reliability and simplicity. WooCommerce is better for businesses already on WordPress, those needing complex content alongside their store, or those requiring deep customisation at a lower recurring platform cost.

What are Shopify transaction fees?

Shopify charges transaction fees of 2% (Basic), 1% (Shopify plan), or 0.5% (Advanced) on each sale when using a third-party payment gateway. These fees are waived if you use Shopify Payments. Shopify Plus has a negotiated rate starting at 0.25%. Monthly plan costs range from £25 (Basic) to £2,300+ (Plus). Can you build Shopify for B2B wholesale?

Yes. Shopify Plus includes a native B2B portal for wholesale orders with custom pricing per customer, purchase orders, payment terms, and minimum order quantities. For merchants on standard Shopify plans, we build B2B functionality using wholesale apps or customer tag-based price tiers. We advise on the right approach based on your order volume and buyer complexity.

What is Shopify OS 2.0 and why does it matter?

Online Store 2.0 (OS 2.0) is Shopify current theme architecture, introduced in 2021. It enables sections and blocks on all pages (not just the homepage), JSON templates, app extensions in checkout, and a much cleaner structure for custom theme development. All WebAnts Shopify themes are built on OS 2.0 for future-proof compatibility with Shopify editor updates and the latest checkout extensibility features.

Do you integrate with Klaviyo, ReCharge, or other Shopify apps?

Yes. We integrate all major Shopify apps including Klaviyo, ReCharge, Bold, Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Yotpo, Gorgias, and any app with a Shopify partner integration. We also advise on which apps you actually need, many stores are over-appd.
