(Web Design · Ecommerce & DTC Brands)
Ecommerce websites that
sell more, every
single day.
WebAnts builds high-converting ecommerce websites and Shopify stores for DTC brands in London and worldwide. Custom themes, subscription commerce, product page CRO, and mobile speed optimisation, built to grow your revenue, not just look good.
What your store needs to do
- →Product pages built to convert, photography, copy, trust signals, reviews
- →Subscription and repeat purchase flows (Recharge, Bold, Loop)
- →One-page or minimal-friction checkout
- →Email / SMS capture with lead magnet before visitors leave
- →Upsell and cross-sell architecture built into the product pages
- →Speed optimisation, sub-2s on mobile (every second costs conversions)
- →Returns policy and shipping clarity on every product page
- →Post-purchase thank you page and loyalty entry point
Common problem
Product pages get traffic but don't convert
Missing trust signals, weak product photography presentation, no social proof at the decision point, and no urgency, visitors arrive ready to buy and leave without pulling the trigger.
Common problem
No subscription or repeat purchase flow
One-off purchases cost more to acquire than subscribers. Without a repeat purchase mechanism, you're paying acquisition cost every time, and leaving LTV on the table.
Common problem
Checkout abandonment is high
Too many steps, unexpected shipping costs revealed at the last moment, limited payment options, and no trust signals at the payment screen all contribute to the 70%+ industry abandonment rate.
Common problem
Site is slow on mobile
Every additional second of mobile load time reduces conversions by 4–8%. Unoptimised Shopify themes with too many apps, large image files, and render-blocking scripts are the most common culprits.
(What we build)
Built to sell, not just
to look good in a portfolio.
01
Conversion-Optimised Product Pages
Product page templates built to close the sale, full-width imagery with zoom and video support, benefit-led copy structured for scan-reading, review aggregation (Okendo, Judge.me, Yotpo), size guides, trust badges, and sticky add-to-cart on mobile. Every element placed based on conversion data, not assumption.
02
Subscription & Repeat Purchase Flows
Native subscription integration with Recharge, Bold Subscriptions, or Loop Returns, with subscription product page variants, subscribe-and-save discounts, flexible frequency options, and a customer portal for managing active subscriptions. Built to maximise subscriber LTV from day one.
03
Streamlined Checkout Architecture
Shopify one-page checkout optimisation, shipping cost transparency from the cart, Shop Pay and accelerated checkout buttons, and trust signals (SSL badge, secure payment icons, money-back guarantee) at the payment screen, every friction point removed.
04
Email & SMS Capture
Exit-intent and scroll-triggered pop-ups with a strong lead magnet (discount, free gift with purchase, waitlist access), connected to Klaviyo or Omnisend for automated welcome sequences. Segmented capture forms for new visitors versus returning customers.
05
Upsell & Cross-Sell Systems
In-cart upsells, post-purchase upsells, and "frequently bought together" product recommendations, implemented via Shopify's native functions or ReConvert. Structured to increase AOV without adding friction to the main purchase flow.
06
Mobile Speed Optimisation
Theme audit, image compression and WebP conversion, app load audit to identify and remove render-blocking scripts, lazy loading for below-the-fold content, and Shopify CDN optimisation. Target: sub-2 seconds on mobile, Core Web Vitals in the green across all pages.

(FAQ)
Questions from ecommerce brands
about their stores.
How much does an ecommerce website or Shopify store redesign cost?
A custom Shopify store, homepage, collection pages, product page template, and cart/checkout optimisation, typically costs £5,000–£12,000. A more complex build with subscription commerce, multi-currency setup, and a custom product configurator typically runs £12,000–£20,000. Flat written quote after a free discovery call.
Should we use Shopify, WooCommerce, or go headless?
Shopify is our first recommendation for most DTC brands, it's fast to launch, well-supported by the app ecosystem, and has the best out-of-the-box checkout performance. WooCommerce makes sense if you're already on WordPress and have complex content requirements. Headless commerce (Next.js + Shopify Storefront API) is worth the additional investment if you need maximum front-end performance, complex customisation, or are building a multi-channel commerce experience. We advise based on your order volume, team size, and growth plans.
Which subscription platform should we use, Recharge, Bold, or Loop?
Recharge is our most commonly recommended platform for established DTC brands, it has the deepest Shopify integration, the most flexible customer portal, and the best analytics. Bold Subscriptions suits brands that need complex subscription rules or hybrid subscription/one-off purchase flows. Loop is a strong choice for brands that sell consumables with fixed subscription windows. We advise based on your product type, expected subscriber volume, and required flexibility.
Can you help with product photography guidance for the redesign?
Yes, and it's one of the highest-ROI conversations we have with ecommerce clients before build. We advise on image dimensions, aspect ratios, background style (white vs lifestyle), video requirements, and the specific shots that perform best on conversion-optimised product pages (hero shot, detail shots, lifestyle in context, scale reference). We work with your existing photographer or recommend trusted partners.
Can you set up international or multi-currency selling?
Yes. Shopify Markets handles multi-currency and international selling natively, we configure currency conversion, market-specific pricing rules, geo-redirect logic, translated checkout pages, and duty/tax display settings for your target markets. For larger international operations with separate inventory or fulfilment per region, we architect a Shopify multi-store setup.
Do you offer post-launch CRO testing and iteration?
Yes. After launch, we recommend a 90-day CRO programme, Google Analytics 4 funnel analysis to identify drop-off points, heat mapping via Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity, and A/B tests on key pages (homepage hero, product page layout, checkout entry). We use PostHog or Optimizely for structured experiments and report monthly on conversion rate movement and revenue impact.
