Custom Magento Themes

Pixel-perfect Magento 2 themes built with Knockout.js and the UI Component framework. Mobile-first, Core Web Vitals optimised, and fully compatible with Magento's checkout.

02

Custom Module Development

Bespoke Magento modules for custom business logic, quote flows, custom pricing, ERP integrations, loyalty points, or anything the default platform doesn't support.

03

B2B Functionality

Company accounts, negotiable quotes, custom catalogues, purchase order approval, customer-specific pricing, and requisition lists, built on Adobe Commerce's B2B module.

04

Magento Migrations

Migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2, from Magento Open Source to Adobe Commerce, or from other platforms (WooCommerce, Shopify) to Magento, including product data, orders, and customer records.

05

Performance Optimisation

Varnish caching, Redis session storage, Elasticsearch configuration, image CDN, and JavaScript deferral. Magento can be fast, it requires intentional optimisation.

Third-party Integrations

ERP (SAP, Sage, NetSuite), payment gateways, fulfilment systems (ShipStation, Linnworks), CRM, and marketplace connectors, custom or via established Magento connectors.

07

Headless Magento

Magento as a backend commerce engine, with a React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt frontend consuming the GraphQL API, for maximum performance and design freedom.

(FAQ)

Magento questions,
answered plainly.

Magento or Shopify, which is right for us?

Shopify is faster to launch and easier to maintain, ideal for DTC brands under £5m revenue with simpler catalogue requirements. Magento is better for: large catalogues (10,000+ SKUs), complex B2B workflows, customer-specific pricing, multi-store setups, or full code ownership and flexibility. If you need Shopify Plus customisation or B2B functionality that Shopify can't handle natively, Magento is the right choice.

Magento Open Source vs Adobe Commerce, what's the difference?

Magento Open Source is free and self-hosted with a large extension ecosystem. Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) is the paid enterprise version, it adds native B2B functionality, staging/preview, content management, advanced reporting, and cloud hosting via Adobe Commerce Cloud. For B2B businesses or large retailers, Adobe Commerce features often justify the licensing cost.

How do you improve Magento performance?

Magento is architecturally complex and slow by default. Performance gains come from: Varnish full-page cache, Redis for session and cache storage, Elasticsearch for catalogue search, a CDN for static assets, lazy-loaded images, and deferred non-critical JavaScript. We benchmark before and after each optimisation and target a Lighthouse score above 70 on mobile, realistic for a well-optimised Magento store.

Can you migrate our Magento 1 store to Magento 2?

Yes. Magento 1 reached End of Life in June 2020, so migration is strongly advisable for security reasons. We migrate product catalogue, customer data, order history, and CMS content from M1 to M2. The migration is a complete rebuild of the theme and any custom modules, Magento 2's architecture is sufficiently different that M1 code cannot be reused directly.

How much does Magento development cost?

A custom Magento theme with basic configuration typically costs £8,000–£15,000. A full Magento store with custom modules, integrations, and performance optimisation typically costs £20,000–£50,000. Complex B2B platforms with Adobe Commerce licensing start from £40,000. Flat written quote after a free discovery call.

Do you handle Magento hosting?

We recommend and set up hosting for Magento, typically Nexcess, Cloudways, or self-managed dedicated servers. Adobe Commerce Cloud is available for enterprise clients. We configure the LEMP stack, Varnish, Redis, and Elasticsearch as part of the build, and can manage ongoing server configuration as part of a maintenance retainer.
